Week 12- Link to Progress Presentation and RTC BRT developments

This week we have been working on a presentation that documents our progress thus far. The slides will likely be modified and improved over the next few weeks to serve as our final presentation.

As a group we still need to do research into Clark County bus stop codes and contact the UNLV Transportation Research Center to ask questions about the Transit Center that currently only serves the Centennial Express. We might meet with Lied Library's engineering librarian liaison for the code aspect of research.

After we presented our progress slides last week a new development with the Maryland Parkway corridor occurred. The RTC has decided to employ bus rapid transit (BRT) and traffic calming on Maryland Parkway, two suggestions that we have discussed in our project thus far. Our group is glad for the BRT decision, although many of the denizens of Vegas who post comments on news articles are upset that it isn't four times as expensive and less accessible light rail being installed.
